Giving a special gift to someone you love is very effective and important to make the relationship with them stronger. However, it is quite important to choose the right gift for giving them. Because if you give them an inappropriate or needless gift, it can rather make them upset feeling that you are not interested in them. So to choose an appropriate gift that the receiver would appreciate it, you need to consider carefully. First, you need to think about your exact relationship with the receiver, whether him or she is your family member, friend, boyfriend or girlfriend. And moreover you have to think how long you have been making the relationship or your present relationship situation with the receiver before buying a gift. Another thing you have to consider choosing a gift, and maybe the most important thing, is to know the receiver's preference. You can ask them directly or find out through other people who know well about the receiver. Also try to remember what the receiver said instantly at the past, such as "I would like to have something like that some day." If you can remember things that pleasure the receiver and give them as a gift, it would be the most touching gift for them.

But the sentence " it can rather make them upset feeling that you are not interested in them. " I don't know why you use "that you are not interested in them" I confussed that support the feeling or upset-feeling?
