"How to play baseball"
To play baseball, many things are needed.
First, The most essential item to play baseball is, as you all know, the stadium or the playground. Baseball stadium consists of infield, outfield, foul-ground, pitcher's mound and the stand. There are four bases in infield, which is 24.7m apart from each other.
Second, Baseball is not a costly sport. But it still needs a couple of equipment. Those are a ball, a bat, gloves, protector and helmet. The ball is made of cork and thread. To make a baseball ball you need to coil white thread around the cork core with rubber piece. Then you put 108 stitches on top of the ball with red thread. The thread is what enables pitchers's various breaking balls. Bat is usually made of wood, titanium, or aluminium. It's kind of weird but the fact is that different players use different weight of bats. As hardball can often be really dangerous, baseball players use gloves, protector and helmet for the safety purpose.
Third, With all those things above prepared, now you are ready to play baseball. Then, we need to know how to play baseball. At a baseball game, two teams compete against each other. And a team has nine players. They are a pitcher, a catcher, a first-base man, a second-base man, a third-base man, a shortstop, those were infielders and players with following positions are called outfielder, a left fielder, a center fielder and a right fielder. A game has 9 innings. And a inning is made of Top and Bottom. For each inning, two teams offense and defense by rotation. When Team A does the offense, team B does the defense, and vice versa. Each inning proceeds until three outs are accumulated, and an out is announced when three strikes are made. There are no time limit in baseball, so it sometimes lasts for several hours. The winner of the game is the team which scores more until the end of the game. The proceeding and decision of baseball game is conducted by umpires; a chief umpire A.K.A ball umpire and four field umpires A.K.A base umpire. Umpires have absolute power, and not only the players but also coaches of both teams are expected to follow their decisions.
I think that Baseball is one of the most popular sports in the world. Actually it is my favorite sport. The reason why I decided to make a presentation with the topic of "How to play baseball" is to encourage those who don't know anything about baseball. It's not enough but now you have acquired basic knowledge to enjoy watching baseball game through my writing. I hope this information will be helpful for all of you.
