Sehee Hwang/Teacher/Wed 11AM

My Great Homeroom Teacher

I had a great teacher when I was 3rd grade in high school. He was my homeroom teacher. Most of my classmates really liked him because he was very dedicating and caring teacher. For example, he bought cakes, bananas, sodas and snacks every month to celebrate the students' birthday. He didn't go home until the last student went home. After Sooneung, he planned to go on a trip with everyone in the class. We actually went on a trip to Jebudo before the graduation and he gave little CDs to each one of us. In the CD, there was a video he took during the whole semester and farewells to each one in the class. It was very touching. In my case, he gave me a ride everyday because I was living near his house. He was supposed to go to school until 8AM but he arrived one or two hours earlier to give me a ride. Plus, when I changed my mind to take social studies class rather than science class, he let me do it even if it was very rare case and almost impossible. He was a great teacher to everyone in my class. I still keep in touch with him and try to visit him on Teacher's Day. I will keep doing it to thank him about all those things he had done to me and my classmates.

  1. I was really surprised at your teacher's dedication. You gave some good examples and the main idea is well supported. But I can not understand this part. ". 2. wow it was very nice of him to care about students' birthdays! You gave examples, and illustration and they give me details. Your teacher really cared about his students. I think you explained very well using EQuIP!!
How do you keep in touch with him? Do you call your teacher often or visit him often?
