We could not live without TV as it has been at the center of our lives in many fields: especially economic, and cultural.
The first reason we cannot live without TV is that there is an already well-established TV industry. Many of us work for jobs related to TV. TV is connected to PDs, producers, manufacturers, and so on. It is literally impossible to guess how numerous jobs TV makes in sum. The world would face unprecedented depression without TV-based industry. But before that, it would be so sad if the genius PDs like Kim Taeho(directing Moohandojeon) stay unemployed!
And the second reason is that TV is an absolute cultural leader in the contemporary world. TV is a trendsetter that shows what's hot in addition to what's new. It works like SNSs that have power among young people, but TV has it among the elder too. It is an undoubted fact that TV has power in cultural ways and it upgrades our lives.
TV is an essential tool in nowaday life. It definitely gives us so many benefits including economic and cultural ways. We wouldn't feel like living without it, and we could not live without it.
You have very wide point of view. I am very impressed. I only thought of TV in the view of 'audience', not 'producer'.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I can hardly agree with the opinion that TV is a trendsetter. TV only shows hot and new things after the 'the real trendsetters' starts a new fashion or trend. TV doesn't 'set' the trend.
What a good point is that the supporting idea is creative. The aspect of industry is really good.

And the second reason is that TV is an important tool in today's culture. TV has been working as a news-teller, as an entertainer, and so on. As the computer does, TV enables us to interact with the world. It made our lifestyle wider, and it has been a place of communication between the old and the young.
