I live without a TV

It's been almost 6 years my family have seldom watched TV. In fact, my family and I don't own a TV. There is no TV not only in my rented room, but in my original house.

At first, It was educational purposes to get rid of TV at home. My parents decided to remove it because my younger brother watched TV too much. But secondly, for me, not watching a TV was not my intention. After living in highschool dormitory, I just couldn't watch it regularly. My TV viewing days lowered gradually because there wasn't it anywhere in dorms. And now, I am accustomed to live without a TV.

Then, How can I watch the programs I like now? The way I use may be quite similar to other young people. If I don't want to miss certain program, I often download it through the Internet or just watch it by using ON-AIR function on the homepage of broadcasting station. If it is not available neither, I ask my friends to send me the program file. Either way, I can see my favorite programs without TV. And rather, this kind of way is convenient for me!

  1. I too suggested the way of downloading from the Internet and only watching few of your favorite programs by choice, so I totally agree with you on this. It must've been a big decision for your parents to actually get rid of the TV in your house, but I'm sure it was for the better. Good work!

  2. Your main point seems to be we can live without TV because there are so many substitutes for TV. Yeah, I agree that. We can watch interesting programs on smartphone, computer instead of TV. But I don't think all people can enjoy the programs on such as high price appliance. TV is very cheap compared to appliance such as smartphone, computer. The poor can enjoy the interesting programs thanks to TV.
So, I think your point is right only for people who can afford to buy high priced products.

  3. The main point in your writing is clear. At first, you were forced to get rid of TV,but now you have adapted and do not feel the necessity to watch TV. Your supporting details are concrete, and I am able to understand why you feel this way. Overall, your writing is well organized and well supported!
