TV: Could you live without it?

The Answer of this question is changed in where I'm in. I'll write here two answers, and it will be different. Because I got some mixed feeling about watching TV.

When I was in the army, TV is the last hope to me. Watching TV means he's ranks above corporal. If soldier watch TV in lying on the floor, maybe he is high in ranks. Anyway there are not lots of entertainments. So soldiers usually watch TV in their break time. I was the soldier, too. Listing here what I saw in TV is, The Running man (SBS), The Muhan dozun (Infinite challenge, MBC) and other lot of things. In honestly, TV helped me relax my mind and body. When I watched TV, I could forget everything about incident occurred in the Army. But there are also weak points of watching TV. The problem is forgetting everything. Not only bad things or worries but also a plan in my life and study something. So after I saw TV, I usually felt some kind of futility. So, at that time I could not live without TV. Even I got angry, if there was no TV.

But the situation is turned over. I was discharged from the army last December. And in this world, there are so many interesting things. It means I don't need the TV, Anymore. Nowadays I rarely turn on the TV. I watch the TV only one or two times in a week. But I use a smart phone or a computer. Moreover these devices can access the TV via there APPs. How smart it is? So, nowadays I can live without TV.

I could not live without TV in the army, but now, I can live without TV. Maybe it is going to be a continuous thing.

  1. What i like this paragraph is well depicted your feeling about TV. I think Everyone may feel that kind of counfusion like you.
But I think your writing should include more advantage of watching TV. Because your recognition is close to 'TV is bad'. If you want to explain your confusion more clear, some examples of the value of TV can help you.

  2. From Kang Dong Hoon

What I like about this piece of writing is that you organized the two occasions well. The episode in the army was really fun and interesting. Your main point is that you could not live without TV when you were in the army, but now you can. I think some parts would be much better if deleted because they were off the topic. You didn't have to list what you watched in the military. You should focused more why and how TV helped you when army. :)
