A Broadcasting Booth in My Middle School

I had been one of broadcasting club members in school for 6 years. And I was director in my middle school and high school broadcasting club. By the virtue of my position, I can look all over the booth thoroughly. My middle school broadcasting booth has two rooms. One is for simple audio broadcasting such as calling someone's name and playing English listening test files. The audio broadcasting room was also used for operation all the broadcasting systems. And the other is for TV broadcasting which was only aired in school. That room was equipped with all of facilities including a wireless microphone, camera, audio system, television set, and video editing system. And it also played a role as the reference room which has many materials - instruction manuals for the equipment and musical materials like tape and CD albums.

Everytime I entered the booth, I could hear the sound of machines and feel the heat from them. And its quiet atmosphere due to grass-shaped floor covering, the soundproof structure, makes me calm. In addition, the booth was blinded with heavy curtains for its effective operation of lighting system so it was always a little bit dark. I really liked that darkness because it produced a dreamy atmosphere when the sun spread its beam through the crack in the curtains. As I was there to direct and operate school broadcasting, my middle school days were quite fruitful. That's why I still can see the booth in my memories and I miss my broadcasting days in middle school.

  1. It must have been interesting to have taken part in a broadcasting club during middle and high school. That makes me wonder if you're in the HUFS broadcasting club at the moment :D From your writing, I was able to feel how a soundproof room felt and sounded like since I was in a band, where we also had a soundproof room to practise in. Good work!

  2. I can imagine your broadcasting booth while reading your writing.
Introduction is well related with the descrpition of broadcasting booth. Especially I like this sentence 'I really liked that darkness because it produced a dreamy atmosphere when the sun spread its beam through the crack in the curtains.' because it seems to have been peaceful. However, I think it would be more intereting if you mention background episode more. Except for that, from topic sentence to the use of words and adjectives were good!
